About me
As a lifestyle editor, journalist, and professional code-switching chameleon, I bring a mix of regional know-how and international perspective to everything I do.
My career has taken me from current affairs journalism at MBC Group, where I was part of the relaunch of its English-language platform Al Arabiya English, to the lighter side of the news as lifestyle editor, and eventually to Arab News, a Saudi Research and Media Group publication founded in 1975.
Today, I work across print and digital journalism, navigating the worlds of fashion, art, culture, and everything in between.
British Asian and raised in the Gulf, I spent my formative years between Saudi Arabia and the UAE before heading to the UK for university. My academic journey took me from War Studies at King’s College London (yes, War Studies!) to International Political Economy at the University of Warwick.
With a network of international contacts, a solid understanding of regional sensitivities, and a soft spot for history, I’ve managed to find a career that fulfils my creative curiosity and desire to organise everything, endlessly.
